Bluegrass TomorrowBluegrass Tomorrow (Kentucky) is a citizens' group devoted to developing a regional consensus on strategies for promoting economic health and quality of life for the future. Bluegrass Tomorrow works for solutions that balance the need for growth with the preservation of the region's unique scenic qualities. Spring, 1993In 1993 we designed county meetings to prepare citizens for participation in a regional strategic planning conference. We trained volunteer moderators and reporters to conduct sessions on values, preferred vision, obstacles to the preferred vision, and strategic issue identification. 1997 1999Steve worked with Bluegrass Tomorrow from 1997 to 1999 when he advised on meeting design and served as facilitator for meetings aimed at developing consensus regarding a rural land management plan for Lexington-Fayette County, site of world-famous Bluegrass thoroughbred horse farms. Bluegrass Tomorrow convened an informal group of key stakeholders, with whom most of the work took place.
