Kentucky Children's Health Insurance Program (KCHIP)June, 2000For the Kentucky Children's Health Insurance Program (KCHIP) Outreach Design Team, Steve facilitated a two-day Open Space retreat for 50-60 stakeholders aimed at developing a long-range plan for outreach. Participants included representatives from the full range of agencies that provide services to low-income families. KCHIP chose an Open Space format to help ensure full ownership by all parties for the Outreach Plan, as well as active support for its implementation. By the end of the two days, the Design Team had the elements it needed to draft a plan reflecting the views and interests of the participants. It also had the participants' commitment to the effective implementation of this plan.
